'The Uninvited' Gallery Updates Uncategorized

Fango has learned that THE UNINVITED, Paramount/DreamWorks’ remake of director Kim Jee-woon’s 2003 Korean fright film A TALE OF TWO SISTERS, has tentatively slotted January 30, 2009 as its U.S. release date.

That puts the picture smack in the middle of next year’s other high-profile horror reduxes: HELLRAISER, MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3-D, FRIDAY THE 13TH and THE WOLF MAN. THE UNINVITED revolves around Anna (Emily Browning of GHOST SHIP and DARKNESS FALLS), who returns home after spending time in the hospital following the tragic death of her mother.

Her recovery suffers a setback when she discovers that her father (DOLORES CLAIBORNE’s David Strathairn) has become engaged to her mother’s former nurse, Rachel (SLiTHER’s Elizabeth Banks). That night, Anna is visited by her mother’s ghost, who warns her of Rachel’s dastardly intentions, and she and her sister (THE GRUDGE 2’s Arielle Kebbel) try to convince Dad that his current fiancée is not who she pretends to be.

The Guard Brothers (Charles and Thomas) directed THE UNINVITED from a script by Craig Rosenberg (former LOST story editor), Doug Miro and Carlo Bernard. THE RING remake’s Walter Parkes, Laurie MacDonald and Roy (SHUTTER) Lee produced the Vancouver-lensed film. Watch Fango this fall for set-visit coverage of THE UNINVITED. —Tony Timpone

'Freakdog' Gallery Updates

I have uploaded new Freakdog movie stills of Miss Arielle, its a horror and thriller movie. Here is the story plot:

A young doctor in a US hospital administers a powerful and untested cocktail of drugs to a coma victim. But instead of curing him, it triggers a powerful “out-of-body” experience and enables the patient – a depraved and dangerous loner – to inhabit other people’s bodies and, through them, take revenge on the bullying medical students who were accidentally responsible for his condition. The doctor, who was herself a part of this group, is also targeted and as her colleagues are singled out and relentlessly picked off, she realises that she can trust no-one – friend or stranger – as this comatose killer moves in and out of bodies at will, getting ever closer as his murderous supernatural powers increase.

"Silver Cord"

Val Kilmer (The Thaw), Arielle Kebbel (The Uninvited), Eric Balfour (Texas Chainsaw Massacre), Cam Gigandet (The Unborn) and Shane West (The Lodger) are set to star in Handpicked Films and Tayrona Entertainment’s Silver Cord. Here’s a synopsis provided by director and co-writer James Ordonez over at the IMDB:

The story of a young man who is separated from the love of his life. To find her he has an Out of Body Experience but the silver cord that connects his soul with his body breaks and he is believed to be dead. In a desperate race against time his friends have less than 24 hours to save his soul before his body is cremated.

Ken Gord co-penned this thriller with Ordonez which is reportedly based on the latter’s brother who “came back to life after being declared clinically dead on multiple occasions. The brother died in 2004.”

Shooting begins this September.
